About Us - Adopt The Purrfect Cat Today!

We do not have a shelter or a sanctuary.  We rely on dozens of volunteer foster homes where our cats & kittens live until they are ready for adoption.  We have two adoption centers inside of the PetSmart on Charleston & Nellis; & the PetSmart on Tropicana &
Ft. Apache.  Volunteers operate both of these centers.  They spend countless hours cleaning the centers & caring for the cats waiting for adoptive homes.
Volunteers also spend many hours fundraising, making it possible for us to provide medical care for many homeless & abandoned cats & kittens.

Sheila Main, President, along with several other local cat rescuers started Purrfect Friends approximately two years ago with the mission of saving as many homeless & abandoned cats & kittens as possible by placing them into forever loving homes.

We are a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue incorporated with the state of Nevada.  We area chartered under Adopt-A-Rescue Pet, a 501 c3 non-profit organization.  We are in the process of applying for our own 501 c3 status with the Federal Government.  We have years of experience among us caring & adopting homeless & abandoned cats & kittens with  the same goals in mind. 

100% of our money goes to the cats & kittens in our care.  NO ONE in our organization is paid a wage or salary.  Everyone is a dedicated volunteer.  We want to spend money raised on the medical care for the homeless & abandoned cats we take in or rescue.  We do not want to euthanize any of these cats or kittens, unless it is absolutely the last option due to a severe injury or terminal disease.

We do not abort pregnant cats.  We allow all pregnant cats to be placed into a safe foster home so that they can give birth & wean their kittens at a proper age.  We then spay/neuter & vaccinate these kittens & place them into our Adoption Program when they are 12-13 weeks old.  We also spay the mother cats & place them into our Adoption Program.  We require that ALL cats & kittens are spayed/neutered, & vaccinated before they are adopted out.
